Wins for the Week 4/25

The bridge crosses over what we call “The Big Creek”..

That would explain the cardboard wedged underneath..But just imagine it once the floors are done and the walls are painted!

For now I added a few plates to the wall to try and make this corner feel a little happier.. Chris asked me when I was going to get the bowl of hard candies to go with all of my plates on the wall.. Whatever, Chris.I used some paint stripper on the top to remove most of the old finish.Honestly, that was a big giant mess and I still ended up having to sand it down a whole bunch.

Next time, I’ll probably just suck it up and sand the whole thing. It would probably be easier, actually.

It got the job done though!

I used Minwax early american stain on the top. Most of the decorations on this tree are pretty simple jingle bells and balls in various shades of blue, but I used my super easy.

DIY fabric ornaments.on here as well and I love the way they look in the room with all of the other fabrics I used in here.. Can you spy that extra little plug hanging there on the tree?

There are a few of those as well so you can plug in any other lighted elements that you might like to add.We often used lighted angels for our tree toppers, but I thought it would be fun to use a Toronto Blue Jays hat for Jack’s baseball nursery.
